August Cape Charles Getaway

August Cape Charles VA Getaway boat trip! Some of those on the June Summer Cruise thought it would be fun to do a shorter summer cruise to Cape Charles before the summer ends. I have contacted Kings Creek Marina in Cape Charles, waiting on confirmation. *This is the same marina that we stayed at last year on our Summer Cruise. I am currently waiting on additional details to post regarding registering at this marina so hold tight :) The marina is closed on Wednesdays :( I am hoping we could come in on Wednesday 8/19 through Sunday 8/23 so for now this is tentative and will confirm all details soon, I can't imagine that Wednesday would be a no-go but will see....

If you have a bike that you can bring I would, last year there were only a few bikes to use to go to town. They do have golf cart rentals and are limited so you would want to reserve early. Folks can/should go in together on reserving a cart due to limited availability so everyone can get around.
I also called another local marina and found out that Bay Creek community on the other side of town is also a resort (no marina) but has wonderful golf accommodations, beach, pool, fitness etc. They allow that marina to have access to their amenities for $25. I am not sure if that is per day or what but will call and see what I can find out for use by us if we stay at Kings Creek. If we have golf carts it would be easy for us to venture over and use those facilities as well.
Information on all details and who to call for all of the above etc. will all be emailed out to those interested within the next 2 days. AGAIN, If you do plan on joining for this cruise please use the RSVP registration for this event.... I have 4 boats already confirmed for attendance. If you have non-members who would be interested please send me contact info so that I can include them in the details for making arrangements. Thanks.
