Come explore the Chesapeake Bay and Rappahannock! Our trip will start off (for some) with a night in Point Lookout, MD. We will depart Monday morning and head out of the Potomac and down the Bay into the Regatta Point Yachting Center in Deltaville, VA - a short trip into the Rappahannock River. We will do a group potluck and cookout on Monday evening. Tuesday we can relax at the marina, enjoy the pool, or take a ride into town.
Wednesday (the 25th), we will take the short ride further into the Rappahannock (18 miles) to Urbanna Boat Yard & Marina ('URBBY'). The owners Amy and Andy keep the marina in fantastic shape, and they go out of their way to make their guests feel comfortable. They have floating docks, fuel, pump out, and a gift shop with some of the most unique items. This marina is located in the heart of Urbanna, within walking distance to shops and restaurants in town. URBBY also has a few small apartments on site that are available for rent, for anyone that may have additional guests visiting, or a great option if you just want to drive down and spend a few days with the group.
On Friday, we will depart Urbanna and head out of the Rappahannock and across the bay to Virginia's eastern shore - Cape Charles, VA. The Cape Charles Town Docks are centrally located in town, short walk to shops and restaurants. The town also has a few bed and breakfasts and numerous ABnB options.
After two nights in Cape Charles, we will make our way back to our respective home port (or of course feel free to extend your visit or create another leg to another destination).
